About Coaching
What is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative, positively-focused partnership where a coach helps you clarify goals, uncover obstacles, and create actionable plans. Through tailored guidance, feedback, and accountability, coaching empowers you to build new skills, enhance performance, and achieve lasting growth in both personal and professional areas.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Are you ready to make meaningful changes while finding clarity through defined goals? Do you want the accountability of taking positive actions to achieve them?
Coaching works best when you are open to new perspectives, willing to be challenged, and committed to personal or professional growth. Whether you want to enhance your leadership skills, improve relationships, navigate life transitions, or simply perform at your best, coaching provides the structure, tools, and support to help you succeed.
Can coaching help with work-life balance?
Yes. Marc G helps clients create balance by identifying priorities, setting healthy boundaries, and developing strategies that align with both personal and professional goals. The focus is on creating a life where success does not come at the expense of well-being, relationships, or personal fulfillment.
What happens if I do not have a specific goal in mind?
You do not need to have a perfectly defined goal to start coaching. Many clients begin with only a sense that they want more clarity, confidence, or direction. Marc will help you uncover what matters most, identify opportunities for growth, and create meaningful goals as part of the coaching process. Sometimes the first breakthrough is simply discovering what you truly want.
What makes Marc G Coaching different from other coaching services?
Marc G is a coach with a proven track record of success, delivering results for leaders, teams, and individuals for over a decade. He combines insight, challenge, and inspiration to drive real change, blending empathy with clear, actionable strategies so clients feel heard and leave each session knowing exactly what to do next. Direct and honest, he is unafraid to challenge limiting beliefs and address difficult topics with respect and without judgment. While coaching results vary and depend on the actions and decisions each individual makes, Marc G remains a consistent pillar of support, helping clients work toward and achieve a wide range of goals. Every session is tailored to the client’s unique challenges and ambitions, creating an experience that is both practical in the moment and transformative for the long term.
What qualifications and experience does Marc G have as a coach?
Marc G is a WCI Certified Master Coach with additional certifications in executive, relationship, and business coaching. He is also a Certified People Keys Behavioral Consultant with access to DISC personality assessments. For over a decade, he has worked with high-level clients including CEOs, entrepreneurs, franchise owners, corporate groups, leadership teams, couples, and individuals seeking to improve performance and balance. Marc G's approach is empathy-driven, solution-oriented, and tailored to each client’s unique needs.
How is coaching different from mentoring?
Mentoring typically involves guidance from someone who has direct experience in your specific field, offering advice based on their own path. Coaching, on the other hand, is a collaborative process focused on helping you clarify your goals, uncover solutions, and take action. Coaches do not need to have walked your exact path, because they are trained to help you uncover disruptive patterns, gaps, and opportunities. Additionally, they help you discover your own strengths and strategies so you can achieve lasting results.
How quickly can I expect to see results?
Many clients notice an immediate shift in perspective within the first few sessions. They often feel a sense of relief simply from expressing their ideas and concerns out loud in a judgment-free space. Typically, you’ll see tangible progress, including greater clarity, confidence, and actionable next steps, within 4–6 weeks. Deeper, more lasting change tends to emerge over a 3–6 month engagement, depending on your goals, commitment, and the complexity of the challenges you’re tackling.
How do you tailor your approach to different people?
Over the past ten years, Marc G has partnered with clients across industries and life stages to deliver truly personalized coaching. He begins with an intake questionnaire and exploratory conversation to uncover your goals, needs, and roadblocks. DISC assessments may also be available for clients during initial conversations. From there, he customizes each session with proven coaching frameworks, targeted exercises, and real-world examples that are designed to shift your mindset, build momentum, and drive lasting growth.
Does coaching diagnose or treat mental health issues?
No. Coaching does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, health condition, or mental illness. Unlike therapy or counseling, coaching focuses on helping you identify goals, uncover obstacles, and create practical strategies to achieve personal and professional success. It is about forward movement, building on your strengths, enhancing performance, improving relationships, and creating the life you want. Coaching is an empowering and collaborative process that helps you unlock your potential and take inspired action toward meaningful and lasting change.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching is a future-focused, goal-driven partnership that helps you unlock potential, set objectives, and stay accountable for career, leadership or life-design goals. Therapy (or counseling) is a clinical process led by a licensed professional to diagnose and treat emotional or mental-health issues, explore past patterns, and develop coping strategies. In short, choose coaching to accelerate performance and growth; choose therapy to heal, process trauma, or manage symptoms.
Session Logistics
Does Marc G provide group or team coaching options?
Absolutely. Marc G offers both small-group coaching (up to 6 participants) and customized team coaching for leadership teams. Group sessions focus on shared goals, like improving communication, building accountability, and strengthening culture, while still providing individualized action plans for each member.
In what formats can we meet?
Most people prefer virtual video, but over-the-phone is available as well. Virtual sessions go through a Google Meet link that does not require you to use a Google account.
What materials will I receive before we start?
You’ll receive an intake questionnaire and a coaching agreement to digitally sign. The process is meant to be straightforward so you’re not wasting any time getting started.
How long is each session, and how do I prepare?
Sessions are up to 60 minutes. Before your first meeting you’ll receive an intake questionnaire to outline your top goals and challenges.
Confidentiality & Ethics
How is my data protected?
All notes (if taken) and communications are stored securely in the client-portal; personal data is never shared without consent, unless required by law.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes, to the extent of the law. Marc G must report illegal acts or indications of harm to self/others.
Pricing & Packages
Can I try one session before committing to a package?
Yes. You can book a single coaching session to experience the process before deciding on a package. This allows you to see how coaching works, determine if it is the right fit, and identify how it can help you achieve your goals. Many clients choose to continue after their first session once they experience the value and clarity coaching provides.
Are there corporate or bulk-rate options?
Coaching with Marc G can be tailored for any business or executive group setting, from training to team sessions and DISC personality assessments. In order to determine how to build a custom coaching package, you'll first want to discuss your purpose and vision. Use the contact form to connect with Marc G and explore the potential.
Do you offer session packages or one-off coaching?
Yes, you can choose single sessions or discounted multi-session packages.
What are the payment options?
Clients can pay by credit card through a secure invoicing system.
Measuring Success
How do I schedule sessions and track progress?
Once you begin coaching, you’ll receive access to a private, secure client portal where you can schedule sessions, track your progress, review goals and notes, and manage action steps. You can also communicate with Marc G between sessions, keeping everything organized in one confidential place to support consistent progress.
Can coaching help me if I am already successful?
Absolutely. Many of Marc G’s clients are already high achievers who want to refine their leadership, strengthen relationships, improve decision-making, or find new ways to grow. Coaching is not just for solving problems; it's also for amplifying strengths, unlocking untapped potential, and sustaining success at the highest level.
What if I hit a plateau?
Plateaus are a natural part of growth. When progress stalls, Marc will revisit your goals, review the strategies you’ve used, and identify any roadblocks or limiting beliefs holding you back. Together, you’ll tweak your action plan—adjusting metrics, introducing fresh exercises or perspectives, and setting micro-goals—to reignite momentum and keep you moving toward success.
How do I know I’m making progress?
We set and review key metrics (e.g., revenue growth, stress levels, relationship satisfaction) on a regular cadence. If you actively use your client-portal, you'll also see the improvements you've made over time.
Next Steps
How do I get the most out of my coaching sessions?
The best results come from being open, engaged, and willing to take action between sessions. Bring honesty, curiosity, and a readiness to explore new perspectives. The more you apply what you discuss with Marc to real-life situations, the faster you will see meaningful and lasting change.
What happens after my introductory session?
You’ll receive an invite into your personalized client-portal where you can manage your account, book additional sessions, track metrics, brainstorm ideas, communicate with Marc G in between sessions, and set tasks to improve action on longterm goals. There is no additional charge for the full-service portal.
How do I prepare for my sessions?
You'll receive a form that asks you to answer a few quick questions to help you isolate the topic of conversation for the session.
